There’s a good reason why Bentley have called their new Continental model the Speed – it will reach 205mph.
It’s the firm’s fastest production model ever and will make its international debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Potential buyers can also enjoy an improved suspension which brings a sportier stance and there’s a new close-ratio 8-speed automatic transmission.
Obviously being a Bentley it’s going to be the last word in luxury and the British firm is taking orders now for October delivery.
Bentley lovers will want to know that the firm has put in an up-rated version of the unique Bentley 6-litre, 48-valve, four-cam, twin turbocharged W12 engine. That’s 616 bhp, a lot of torque and which brings 0-60mph in just 4 seconds.
You’ll need a decent garage to house it though because it’s nearly 16ft long.
Mind you, if you can afford the £151,000 price tag then the size of your garage is not likely to figure.
