For those who are looking for great performance from their car in a value for money package, then the all-new Kia Ceed GT and GT-Line might be for you.

The new cars have been designed and developed in Europe and the firm says it has undertaken a six-month development programme to specifically fine tune the handling and ride for European drivers.

There are also electronic driver aids and better suspension for the GT model, while the GT-Line has unique bumper and alloy wheel designs.

Along with accomplished performance levels, there’s also lots of kit on board too.

Engines for the all-new Kia Ceed GT

The engines for the all-new Kia Ceed GT include a powerful new 1.6 litre T-GDi unit producing 201 bhp with 265Nm of torque.

Opt for the GT-Line and buyers have a choice of a 1.0 litre or a 1.4 litre T-GDi petrol engine or a 1.6 litre CRDi diesel engine.

The engines offer nice levels of performance and for those looking for a higher spec, the GT-Line S model has a 1.4 litre T-GDi unit producing 138 bhp under the bonnet and this is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox to deliver the power efficiently.

The styling for the new Kia Ceed GT has seen designers create a more athletic look for the cars – more so than the smooth the lines of the stablemate Ceed range.

There are larger air intakes, a new front bumper design and new LED daytime running lights.

The profile is also slightly different with glossy chrome window surrounds, side sills and 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels.

When the new car lands in the UK, there will be a choice of four paint schemes to choose from.

The interior has also been revamped for the GT with high quality soft touch materials as well as metallic trims used throughout.

The dashboard is nicely angled towards the driver and it’s easy to use while on the move. There’s also the firm’s floating touch screen for the infotainment system offering controls for the heating and ventilation as well as audio.

The black roofline also creates a sporty environment, as do the aluminium driver pedals.

If you’re looking for a better level of performance from a mid-size family car, then the all-new Kia Ceed GT, as well as the GT-Line, will appeal.
