The new all-new Honda CR-V has had a stylish makeover to create an impressive new generation of the SUV.

Prices will start for the entry level 2WD model at £25,995 and will top out for the top spec CVT at £36,455.

It will be in the showrooms from early September with the petrol unit having a choice of 2WD or all-wheel and also CVT or manual transmission.

The new model also has more space on board with a longer wheelbase, but the exterior length has not been increased.

Engine for the Honda CR-V

From launch, the engine for the Honda CR-V will be the firm’s 1.5 litre V-TEC turbocharged petrol unit and this engine has models with a choice of seven seats with all three rows offering reclining functions to boost long-distance comfort.

Also, the second row of seats will slide backwards and forwards to create a comfortable seating position.

The boot is also the leader in its class and there’s plenty of storage space on board, including large capacity pockets in the doors which are large enough to fit a full-size tablet.

The new generation of Honda CRV also comes packed with equipment and fitted as standard will be parking sensors, a rear view camera and a host of safety features including forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking and lane departure warning.

There is also a traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and road departure mitigation.

The top end models also feature blind spot warning as well as cross traffic monitoring and the top end model has a low speed follow feature. Some models also have a leather interior, a front windscreen de-icer and active cornering lights.

The higher end spec also includes a head-up display, heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, hands-free access powered tailgate and a panoramic glass sunroof.

Honda says this new model is the safest ever, and offers dynamic handling with an all-new suspension that delivers improved comfort levels.

The all-new Honda CRV is an impressive creation and takes what the previous model does and improves upon it, and at some point in early 2019 a five seat hybrid model will be available which will make for an interesting choice for the segment.
