The prices and spec for the Subaru outback 2018 have been revealed.

The specification and pricing for the revamped Subaru Outback have been revealed by the carmaker.

There are upgrades to the interior and exterior design with the addition of extra kit for the 2018 model.

The Outback is available as either the ST and ST Premium trims and the new equipment comes at no extra cost to buyers.

That means that the new model costs the same as the model it replaces with prices starting from £29,995 and rising for the ST Premium at £33,010.

Engine for the Subaru Outback

The engine for the Subaru Outback is a 2.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol unit which, since it’s a boxer engine, is installed further back and lower down than a conventional engine is. This offers a lower centre of gravity and more safety for occupants.

The engine itself delivers lots of power, there’s 175 PS and torque 235 Nm with fuel economy of 39 mpg and emissions of 166g/km.

Essentially, this level of performance delivers a rugged estate that will deliver strong performance on motorways at speed with good grip on country lanes and crossing muddy fields.

There’s also been a subtle redesign for the interior with new gloss black panels with silver surrounds to deliver a sophisticated appearance.

All-round visibility is also boosted with an extra side view camera mounted underneath the passenger door wing mirror to help navigate tight spaces.

The new features help to make a great car even better which already has excellent grip and comfort levels.

The Subaru Outback still retains its qualities with the new equipment enhancing the offering and for those who want the space and capabilities for rugged environments, the Outback is a sound choice.
