The all-new Honda CR-V is offered with hybrid technology for the first time.

It’s one of the world’s bestselling SUV’s and the all-new Honda CR-V will continue its impressive sales record.

The new model was recently unveiled at the Geneva motor show and will have, for the first time in Europe, Honda’s hybrid technology available.

There’s also the option of a seven seater model as well.

New hybrid technology for the Honda CR-V

The new hybrid technology for the Honda CR-V features a 2.0 litre VTEC petrol engine and two electric motors to deliver real-world efficiencies.

The hybrid system doesn’t use a conventional gearbox and instead utilises a single fixed gear ratio so there is a smooth transfer of torque with a direct connection between the engine’s and motors’ moving components.

The CR-V is also available with a 1.5 litre VTEC turbocharged petrol engine for good levels of performance and economy. This model comes with a six speed manual box and the option of Honda’s CVT automatic transmission.

The all-new Honda CR-V has a seven seat option down to the larger exterior proportions than the model it replaces and a longer wheelbase.

There’s plenty of space on board and a larger boot as well.

Among the new features, the CR-V’s tailgate can be programmed so it avoids contact with a low ceiling.

There’s also more centre console storage and the rear seats fold flat more quickly to enable easier loading.

Honda says its new offering is also one of the most aerodynamic efficient cars in its segment and fuel efficiency is helped with its active shutter grille system.

And with a new layout to the spacious cabin there are two 7-inch touchscreens and the air conditioning is easier to manage.

The Honda CR-V is expected to be delivered to European customers from autumn.
