The Ford Mustang is one of the motoring world’s most iconic sports cars and the new model delivers improved engines and driver assistance technologies.
There’s also a sleeker exterior styling, a wider range of customisation options and a suspension upgrade.
Along with clear LCD lighting, Ford is also introducing new exterior colours as well as alloy wheel options. The interior features an aluminium finish and soft touch materials.
The stylish Ford Mustang
The power for the stylish Ford Mustang comes from a 5.0 litre V8 that delivers 450 PS and is coupled to the firm’s new 10-speed automatic gearbox that delivers the crisp response owners are looking for. Ford says the swift gear changing makes the car more fuel efficient.
There’s also a choice of 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine which delivers 290 PS and still delivers excellent levels of power to deliver the Mustang driving experience and this is helped with a turbocharger with an over-boost function.
The Mustang’s roar is also tempered with a new active valve performance exhaust that Ford says has an innovative ‘good neighbour’ mode for those drivers who are driving late at night or early in the morning.
It’s interesting too that the Mustang has also had its suspension tweaked to deliver a performance to match European driving expectations but it’s still fun to drive vehicle. There are selectable driving modes to suit circumstance and an adjustable suspension.
Ford Mustang’s driver assistance technologies
Among the Ford Mustang’s driver assistance technologies are lane keeping assistant and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection.
The main feature for the instrument cluster is a 12-inch infotainment screen.
The interior also features leather trimmed seats that come with cooling and heating options and the steering wheel is also heated.
Also, for the first time in Europe, right hand drive Mustang drivers can also opt for the firm’s leather Recaro racing seats.
