Revamp sees the Subaru BRZ deliver a great car.

The Subaru BRZ has been revamped for 2017 in just about every important area to deliver a car that will impress on many levels.

There is a lot to like about the BRZ Sports Coupe and the latest update will help establish it as a leading contender in its segment.

Subaru says the revamp has seen the exterior as well as the interior improved and there’s a better suspension and new powertrain available as well.

Sports car appeal for the Subaru BRZ

The sports car appeal for the Subaru BRZ is boosted by a refined driving experience and improved safety.

However, the distinctive coupe shape remains but it has a lower stance at the front and it’s also wider to help incorporate larger air flow into the air intake to boost ride and handling.

There’s also a Subaru first with LED headlights as well as a new design for the rear light cluster and the aerodynamic pedestal spoiler. All wheels for the BRZ will now be a 10 spoke aluminium design.

Subaru have also redesigned the steering wheel so it’s not only smaller but has been designed for drivers to grip easier and help deliver a better experience when behind the wheel.

The interior is complemented by leather seats and quality materials have been used throughout the cabin.

Also, Subaru has also worked to improve the car’s straight-line performance and to improve the responsiveness of the car so it does what the driver is intending.

There is a Boxer engine under the bonnet with stronger cylinder blocks and lower friction in the camshaft. The result is, say Subaru, a more fuel efficient and responsive engine.

To help control the car, the dampers have been redesigned to reduce body roll and boost cornering ability and there’s a great addition of ‘Track’ mode which sees the stability of the car improved still further.

The new Subaru BRZ is available from the spring in just one trim, the SE Lux, with a choice of automatic or manual transmission and prices will be released closer to this date.
