For those who like their SUV to have sports car-like performance, then the new Porsche Macan GTS is for you.
The chassis has been re-engineered and a powerful engine has been fitted to offer a hard to beat driving experience.
Porsche have also restyled the exterior for the Macan to help it stand out from the crowd.
Under the bonnet there is a 3.0 litre twin turbocharged V6 petrol engine that produces 360 HP. It’s faster than the Macan S but not quite as nippy as the Macan Turbo.
Porsche Macan GTS has been geared to sports performance
However, the Porsche Macan GTS has been geared to sports performance with fine tuning and there’s also the impressive active suspension management which offers a lowered ride height. 28 inch alloy wheels help deliver the sports car level of performance.
This is underlined by its impressive 0 to 62 mph sprint time of 5.2 seconds – this can be done more quickly for drivers who opt for the Sport Chrono pack.
As with other Macans, the rear tyres are wider which help give the vehicle its dominant stance and help provide stability and roadholding.
Drivers can expect fuel economy of 31 mpg and a top speed of 160 mph.
In the cabin, Porsche have fitted its new communication management system which is utilised by a touch screen monitor and has more functionality than other models in the range (though it’s the system first seen in the latest 911).
Along with satnav, the system offers a wide range of infotainment options and connectivity.
