The new Mercedes C-Class Coupe is hard to beat

The excellent new Mercedes C-Class Coupe is available to order now and will cost from £30,955 OTR with deliveries starting in December.

That means the Coupe could be a marvellous Christmas present to someone and they will get a car with an excellent specification and performance.

The range topper is the Mercedes-AMG C63 S which costs £66,910 and comes with a 4.0 litre V8 engine with a bi-turbo and the firm’s seven speed automatic transmission. The car will rocket from 0 to 62mph in less than four seconds.

There’s also the handy Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe which costs £61,160 and will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in four seconds.

There are two models available and each builds on the spec available in the Mercedes C-Class estate and saloon models.

Entry level C-Class Coupe

The entry level C-Class Coupe is the C200 with a petrol engine which produces 184 HP and a choice of either a six speed manual or a seven speed automatic transmission.

Opt for the C300 engine and there’s 245HP of power.

Alongside these are two diesel units – the C220d will produce 170 HP while the C250d will produce 204 HP.

Buyers have the option of the Mercedes C-Class Coupe Sport or AMG Line.

As expected, there’s a lot of equipment fitted as standard including active park assist, parking sensors with a reversing camera, LED headlights, sports seats, 7-inch colour screen and satnav.

There’s also various safety features including automatic braking and collision prevention assist.

Those who decide the Mercedes C-Class Coupe C300 is for them will find a feature to alter the sports exhaust note.

The Sport trim comes with 17 inch alloy wheels and a gloss black interior with aluminium inlays.

The AMG Line version is impressive with black ash wood trim, AMG body styling, 18 inch alloy wheels and the AMG sports steering wheel. The suspension has also been lowered by 15mm help boost its sports performance.

There are also a number of impressive options available for the C-Class Coupe, including a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting and keyless go as well as a better touchscreen and a surround sound system.
