The popular Toyota Yaris Hybrid has just been expanded with two new models, the Sport and the Active, to help widen the car’s appeal.
Indeed, the Active model is the lowest price version and will cost from £14,995. Both new models are on sale now.
The two new additions means there is a hybrid for all four grades of the top-selling supermini.
The Toyota Yaris Hybrid Active is now the firm’s entry point for anyone wanting a hybrid with the latest technology that has clean and efficient performance.
The five door hatchback comes with lots of standard equipment including trip computer, dual zone climate control, split folding rear seats and power windows.

However, most people will be buying the Yaris Active for its on-road performance and owners should see fuel economy of around 86 mpg and CO2 emissions of just 75g/km.
Alongside this sits the new Sport which cuts something of a dash with its 16 inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, rear spoiler and a rear pillar that creates a ‘floating roof effect’.
Standard equipment for the Toyota Yaris Hybrid Sport includes powered windows, climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and a rear view camera.
There’s also DAB radio and the firm’s Touch2 multimedia system along with touchscreen control.
There’s also the option of installing a panoramic glass roof and switching to larger alloy wheels (which should improve economy slightly.)

Fuel economy for the Sport should be around 79 mpg while CO2 emissions are 82g/km. Its starting price is £16,695.
As one would expect, both of the new models are very quiet to drive and offer lots of refinement and for anyone interested in the hybrid experience, the Toyota Yaris Hybrid is an excellent choice.
Don’t forget too that the low emissions mean that owners do not have to pay road tax and for owners driving in London they will be exempt from the capital’s congestion charge.
