Subaru FORESTER Review
SUBARU FORESTER

Which Subaru Forester is Ideal for You?

The Subaru Forester is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by Japanese Automaker Subaru since 1997.

Now in its 5th generation, it was initially based on the famous Subaru Impreza in the style of a tall station wagon. The 5dr front engine All-Wheel drive SUV borrowed the famous 2.5 litre DOHC boxer engine from the earlier Subaru Outback, making this a rugged SUV, a high-performance off-roader.

The 2022 facelift version of the Forester pulls no punches with its no-nonsense approach to pure engineering, evolving now into a self-charging hybrid. The permanent Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (SAWD) gives you year-round confidence on the road, and the 220m ground clearance gives you performance off the road.

Subaru E-Boxer Engine

The boxer engine on the Subaru makes the car unique; unlike other engine designs, Subaru's boxer engine features Pistons that move in opposition to each other due to its unique horizontal layout giving rise to benefits such as a lower-mounted engine this lowers the car's centre of gravity giving the vehicle better overall weight distribution making the vehicle more resistant to side-to-side motion and roll when cornering or breaking another.

Naturally balanced, the boxer engine generates less vibration, which creates less wear on the engine and results in a quieter driving experience.

Apart from the horizontally opposed “Boxer” engine, the Subaru Forester has a Lineartronic™ Gearbox that uses varying-width pulleys that produce more efficient power, sending torque to the wheels without gearchange interruption, making it smoother, quicker and fuel efficient.

Subaru X-Mode

Subaru's X- Mode with hill descent control provides a helping hand under challenging conditions and is fitted as standard across the SUV range, giving driver confidence at all times. Activated at the touch of a button X-Mode takes control of the engine transmission, the symmetrical all-wheel drive, brakes and other components to provide the best traction and grip in difficult conditions; all you have to do is steer.

Hill descent control ensures that the speed of your vehicle stays constant, managing the breaking to provide a controlled descent.

Subaru Forester Powertrains

The Forester Self charging hybrid uses a petrol 2.0l engine, 12.3kw (16bhp) electric motor, and a small lithium -ion-battery that seamlessly switches as conditions require.

Subaru is a unique brand, and there is no doubt that leasing a Subaru is an excellent choice, offering a high level of technology and engineering.

One of the main advantages of Personal or Business Contract Hire is that it can help you budget more effectively. Your monthly payments are fixed, so you'll always know exactly how much you must set aside. This can be particularly useful if you're worried about your expenses increasing.

Other benefits of choosing a Contract Hire deal include a low initial payment and the ability to personalise your lease to suit your needs. Plus, with many different Subaru models available on lease, you can get a higher-specification car for your budget.
